WILLISTOWN
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Architecture by Ferguson & Shamamian • Photography by Andrew Frasz • Interiors by Brady Design • Built by GCI
Set on 22 acres of rolling farmland just outside Philadelphia, this home was designed in collaboration with Ferguson & Shamamian. Brady Design provided the interior design, kitchen and bath design, and selection of interior finishes, creating interiors that reflect both the expansive landscape and the personality of their owners.
The colors of the surrounding fields and countryside informed the palette, particularly in the living and dining rooms, where greens, blues, and softer natural tones appear in the fabrics, furnishings, custom rugs, and finishes. The home’s classical architecture is balanced by interiors that feel warm, layered, and comfortable.
The library was designed to complement the period and character of the owner’s extraordinary Abraham Lincoln memorabilia collection, one of the largest in the country. A custom secretaire breakfront, designed by Brady Design and crafted by Gary Armstrong Woodworking, was created to house and display pieces from the collection.
The result is a home that feels rooted in its place and in the life of its owners—classical in character, colorful and layered in its interiors, and designed to be enjoyed as much as admired.
