Architecture and Interiors, Together
Architecture and interior design are inseparable in the way we approach a home. Proportion, light, materials, millwork, furnishings, and color all contribute to the same experience. By considering these elements together from the beginning, we can create spaces where every decision feels connected and intentional.
Thoughtful. Timeless. Personal.
We believe a home should feel as though it has evolved naturally over time—considered, collected, and deeply personal. Our work is rooted in a respect for architecture and tradition, but we are not interested in following a formula. Instead, we look for ways to reinterpret classic ideas with a fresh perspective, creating spaces that feel timeless without feeling expected.
A Balance of Old and New
We are drawn to the enduring qualities of traditional architecture—the beauty of proportion, craftsmanship, natural materials, and architectural detail. At the same time, we believe a home should reflect the way people live today. We enjoy finding the balance between the familiar and the unexpected, combining timeless elements with contemporary touches to create something that feels both established and fresh.
Beautiful, But Livable
We believe good design should make everyday life better. A beautiful room should also be comfortable. A formal space should still invite you to sit down. Materials should be chosen not only for how they look, but for how they age and live over time. We consider the practical realities of a home just as carefully as its aesthetic ones.
Collected, Not Decorated
Our interiors are layered rather than overly styled. We love rooms that feel as though they have a history: a mix of textures, patterns, antiques, custom pieces, and contemporary furnishings, all brought together with intention. The goal is not perfection, but character—a sense that everything belongs and that the home could only belong to the people who live there.
A Sense of Place
Every project begins with its surroundings. A house in the Hamptons should not feel like a house in Palm Beach, just as a city apartment in New York should not feel like a suburban home outside Philadelphia. We look to the architecture, landscape, history, and character of each location for inspiration, while always allowing the individual client to shape the result.
Collaboration
The best work rarely happens in isolation. We enjoy working alongside talented architects, interior designers, builders, landscape architects, artisans, and craftspeople, and we value the different perspectives each brings to a project. Whether we are leading the architecture, the interiors, or both, we approach every collaboration with curiosity and respect.
At the heart of our work is a simple idea:
A well-designed home should feel both timeless and entirely its own.
